This morning I was on the river early trying my luck at catching a steelhead. As we were fishing, a small US Coast Guard ship was making way up the Columbia river to join a number of other ships for the annual Portland Rose Festival celebration.
Soon after, we saw another smaller USCG Cutter and a Brusco tug towing a barge down the Columbia river.
