Sorry for not posting for a while. The last couple of weeks I have been taking my time doing the yearly maintenance on “Rachel”, my fish boat. It is a Devlin “Pelicano”. Yearly maintenance for me means sanding all topside paint and brightwork and applying fresh paint and varnish (cetol). This year I also built a new hatch along with new chine spray rails and installed two 8″ deck plates so I can make a couple of storage areas more easily accessible.
I also read a book this last week. I highly recommend it, it is “The Year of the Boat” by Lawrence Cheek. It is fun, deep and very, very funny. This book made me laugh out loud. We all need to do that!!
