I sanded the white and put the first coat of varnish on all bright work, then left for Longview, Washington to pick up the custom cut safety glass for the windshield. I got back to the shop at noon and put on the 2nd coat of varnish. Tomorrow I will put the 3rd and last…

Today was a busy day of coordination. After making templates for the windshield safety glass, I drove to Longview, Washington, dropped off the cuddy cabin foam for the cushions to Longview Upholstery and dropped off the glass template to Twin City Glass. I then connected with the canvas guy who followed me back to the boat shop…

Reassembled and epoxied the fir windshield together. I also cut and installed all the Douglas fir wood plugs and applied two coats of paint to her exterior.

Sanded the wood filler and then built the fir windshield. Started at 7:45 am and ended at 3:30 pm.

The inwales around the cockpit were built and installed today. Started at 8:00 am and ended at 1:30 pm.

Today, I built and completed the companion way hatch and door. Started at 1:00 pm and ended at 6:30 pm.

After finishing up the hands sawn deck beam for the companionway, all the deck beams were complete. These deck beams make up the ceiling for the cuddy cabin. I then finished building the cabin itself. Next come the building of the companionway hatch and door. Started at 9:45 am and ended at 5:45 pm.

Today, I wood flour epoxy glued the side cabin walls to the hull and cut and installed all the fir cabin ceiling beams. I should have the cabin completely constucted tomorrow. Started at 8:00 am and ended at 3:30 pm.

The interior was sanded interior to prep for the 3rd coat. I also built and installed all walk around gunwales. Finished the day by painting the 3rd coat of paint. Tomorrow I start building the cabin. Started at 6:00 am and ended at 5:00 pm.

Today, I finished the galley shelf, made up the patterns for the cuddy cabin cushions and painted the 2nd coat of off-white to the interior. Afterwards, I drove to Longview, WA to drop off the cushion patterns and order the galley sink – they had a nice little stainless steel 10″ round one. Started at…
