Wednesday. Today was a typical March day in the Northwest – rain and about 40 degrees. Around noon I called my neighbor Jerry J, and we boarded “Rachel” and made way up the Columbia for about 10 minutes, dropped anchor in about 13 feet with the tide running hard. I rigged up both rods and it wasn’t 30 minutes and the beautiful bright 15 pound spring chinook took my lure. This is my 1st Springer of the season.
