January 5, 2012; 9:00 am – 2:30 pm; day 40. Today I finished building the redwood galley shelving and cubbies for plates, coffee mugs and such. I then put the 1st coat of varnish on the galley redwood, alder floor board and the centerboard trunk cap. I installed the centerboard itself compete with line and pulley blocks. After installing the S.S. pin thru the centerboard and bushings I capped both ends with a purple heart cap fitting them with caulk and 3 counter sunk S.S. screws per cap.
I also attached a photo of this afternoons rainbow. I was eating an apple for lunch, look out the shop windows and there she was. No pot of gold tho!
