July 22, 2012 Elochoman Slough Marina, Wooden Boat Festival
This weekend was Bald Eagle Days for Cathlamet, Washington. On Sunday from 9 am – 2 pm was the wooden boat festival part of the weekend. There were many great wooden vessels from the Portland/Vancouver and outlying areas.
It was a great day for me and “Vanessa”, Sam Devlin’s newly redesigned gaff rig sloop “Eider”. I built her this last winter from a set of paper plan. She is hull #1 of this vessel. “Vanessa” took 1st place in her category. The people at the show loved her!!! Here are a few photos.
Here are a couple of photos of my longtime friend scary Jerry with the steelhead he landed while aboard “Rachel”, a Devlin Pelicano the day before the wooden boat fest.
