Yesterday I faired the port side and mixed some epoxy fairing filler and applied it heavy! This stuff is pretty easy to sand and will give me a fair surface to paint and then fit the new full 1″x2″ fir gunwales.
Today I also removed the homemade things that were, I believe to be windows. They leak badly, I will fill the holes in a way that no one will know the superstructure was touched. Then will install proper bronze port lights.
Then I turned my attention to the process of fairing the starboard side.
It started to rain!?
