Every year on the week before Memorial Day, I deliver a newly built boat to the Cathlamet Yacht Club to be raffled off to raise needed funds for this small community. The club has been taking the boat to most of their summer events and selling tickets to win this year’s Sam Devlin designed 10′ rowing skiff.
Well, for the month of August the local art galley is showing boat art from all the local artists – boats in paintings, photos, ceramics and on and on. Last month one of the local artists asked if they could display the fundraiser raffle boat in the gallery for the month of August. She said it was art…..go figure :0). Here are a few photos.
