Polliwog 2012: Coat of Varnish
Saturday, I spent a couple of hours sanding all the brightwork and then painting it with a coat of varnish.

Friday, I worked three hours this morning removing all the clamps then fairing and filling all of yesterday’s woodwork. Here are a few photos.

Thursday. I worked 5 hours today. I built and installed the knees, breast hook, gunwales and inwales. Here are a few photos.

Today I put in 5 hours building and installing the fore and aft bench seating. There’s also a photo of this mornings sunrise. Tomorrow I will move right to building the knees and breast hook.
Polliwog 2012: Filling Little Pitts
Sunday, I worked a little less than and hour. I mixed small amount of 410 fairing filler and went about filling all the little pitts, scratches and pockets. Once dry I will sand with 220 grit and add a second coat of topcoat paint.

Today I sanded fair the 410 fair compound and then applied the first coat of paint.

Today I spent a couple of hours sanding the high spots and applying a coat of West 410 fairing compound. Here are a couple of photos.
Polliwog 2012: Removing the Stitches
Worked from 8 – 11:30 am. Today I removed all the stitches and faired the hull. Then, I turned her over and filled the seams, applied fiberglass tape and saturated the tape with epoxy. Here are a few photos.

Worked from 8 – 11 am. Today I stitched up the side panels and transom. Then, I mixed up some epoxy/wood flour to a peanut butter consistency and tabbed the interior seams. Here are a few photos.
