Today I did some fine tuning on the rigging, installed a tilt meter to gauge the degree of heel and a new tiller-tamer. This will be the last post till she launched. I promise!

The keel modifications are now complete and according to Dudley’s specs. Here are a couple of photos of the finished product.

The last couple of days I’ve been removing deadwood from the keel so she will be built to Dudley Dix specs. I’ve also had to cut 4″ off the top of the outboard motor bracket so the prop will be at the right depth so there will be no cavitation. The keel was built so…

Here are a few before and after photos of the galley. One day of the last week of 2016 I built, painted and installed a couple of upper galley shelves. They give the the galley a little more storage.

While “Slough Coot” is warm and dry in her winter digs I’ve added several coats to her brightwork and started stocking her cabin. I also plan to add a topcoat to her hull and superstructure.
