This morning I spent a few minutes applying the coat of TotalBoat non-skid to both thwart benches. If my supplies arrive by Monday of next week, we will have this restoration wrapped up by next Friday or Saturday!

Nelson Skiff – Non-skid Beige
Today I painted the two thwart benches off-white then masked and applied non-skid beige on the fore deck and the aft benches.
Nelson Skiff – Painting Bench and Fore Deck
Today I masked off the fore deck and aft bench seats and painted them TotalBoat off-white. Then I banded the center bench seats with fiberglass for strength. Tomorrow I will mask off the fore deck and aft bench seats and paint the center areas with TotalBoat non-skid beige.
Nelson Skiff – Floor Repair
The last couple of days I finished the repair work on the floor near the starboard bow and the transom at the starboard top. Today I prepped the brightwork and applied the first coat of TotalBoat Wood Finish varnish. Tomorrow I plan to start painting the bow deck and bench seats.

Nelson Skiff – Removed the Masking Tape
This afternoon I removed the masking tape. After Christmas I’ll turn her over and begin on her interior. Merry Christmas!

Today I fared the hull and applied the second coat of Pettittopcoat Jade green!
Moving Forward on Nelson Skiff
Today we light sanded the hull and filled the low spots with faring putty. We then applied bottom paint.
Skiff Restoration – Top Coat
Today we sanded the complete hull, sides and bottom fare and applied the first coat of topcoat paint to her sides and stern.
