November 10, 2011; 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Today is day 17. I cut and fixed, glued and screwed 1 1/2″x 1/4″ UHMW to the bottom of the keel shoe and bilge keels. Then longboarded the hull again with 120 grit and added another coat of filler to the low spots.
Eider: First Coat of Jade Green Hull Paint
November 9, 2011; 9:15 am – 11:30 am. Today is day 16, and I prepped the hull for painting by sanding, dusting and masking. Then, I applied the first coat of Jade Green hull paint. This is just one of three to four coats. I have to longboard sand and fill between each coat.

November 1, 2011; 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. Today, with the help of my friend Johnny G, we glassed the hull. Johnny mixed the resin and hardener while I spread the epoxy over the glass cloth. Tomorrow longboard sand and faring compound.

October 29, 2011; 10:00 am – 1:30 pm. This is the 10th day into the project. Today was another short day. I fared out the hull making it completely smooth. Then, I filled all the holes and feathered out all scarf seams.
