Eider: Installing the Cockpit Longitudinal
December 6, 2011; 8:30 am – 2:30 pm; day 28. Today I fit and installed the bushings in both the centerboard and the trunk. While the epoxy around the bushings was drying I fit and installed the cockpit longitudinal. I then installed the trunk beding it in epoxy woodflour.

Eider: Centerboard Trunk
November 30, 2011; 9:30 am – 3:30 pm; day 26. Today I built the centerboard trunk, cut the hole for it in the bottom of the hull and laminated two pieces of 3/4″ ply for the centerboard itself. I then disassembled and fiberglassed the inside of the trunk.
Eider: Sanding the Cockpit

Eider: Fiberglass Edges
November 24, 2011; 11:00 am – 4:00 pm; day 24. Today I feathered out the fiberglass edges and seams with WEST’s 410 fairing filler.
Eider: Filling the Inside Seams
November 23, 2011. The last couple of days I’ve worked 8 1/2 hours combined. I have filled all the inside seams with epoxy wood flour and then fiberglassed them. This is always a suck job!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there!

November 19, 2011; Day 22. I worked for just 2 1/2 hours today because my neighbor needed more help hauling gravel. Eider: Removing the Cradle
November 18, 2011; day 20. I only worked a couple of hours on the boat today. I removed the cradle and set the boat at her waterline. Then, I went and helped a neighbor haul some gravel.
