Yesterday and today Kirk Gresham and I worked on his newly purchased 21′ Cat Ketch double ender. This is a 50 year old fiber glass vessel. Yesterday as Kirk removed the toe rails and gunwales, I removed and replaced the bad floors. I built them out of 1″ Douglas Fir stock. Once fit I glasses them into place.
Today I planed and milled the toe rail and gunwale stock. Kirk and I fit the port side. Tomorrow we’ll fit the starboard side then begin the process of removing the old and fit the new inwale deck clamps.
