Today I put in 2 hours sanding the hull with 220 grit and then applying the 3rd and final coat of top coat.

20′ Banks Fishing Dory, USCG – 2nd Coat of Pearl Gray
Today I put in 2 hours lightly sanding the first coat with 120 grit and the applying the second coat of pearl gray topcoat paint. I have just one more coat to go! Then I right her and start on the interior.

Today I put in 2 hours masking off the red bottom and then applied a coat of Pettit pearl gray Easypoxy marine topcoat paint. Just two more coats to go and then I right her.

Today, I worked 5 hours sanding the hull’s faring compound with 120 grit then masked off the chine plank and applied 2 coats of ablative bottom paint. There’s a portion of the bottom I did not paint because that’s where the motor well will be cut in.

Today I put in 4 hours cleaning the hull and then applying a coat of fairing compound.

Today I swept up the shop a little and then put in a couple hours releasing the clamps and glueing the gunwales to the sheer. After letting the glue cure for about four hours, I removed the clamps and cleaned up the glue. Tomorrow I’ll begin the process of applying the fairing compound.
