This morning I fared the 410 faring filler smooth and then permanently fit the 16 side hull frames. Then I taped off the breast hook and transom knees and painted the top edge of the gunwale guard jade green.

Salt Bay Skiff – Cut and Fit Custom Frames
Today I finished cutting and custom fitting each frame. Then I removed them and applied a coat of West 410 faring compound. Tomorrow I’ll fare with 150 grit and fit each frame permanently.
Salt Bay Skiff – Interior Fiberglass
This morning I got started on the interior by fiberglassing the inter chines, filling gunwale guard screw holes and drilling the two 9/16” holes in the bow for the painter-line.

This afternoon I applied the third coat of off-white to her sides.

This morning I trimmed out the skiff in Pettit Jade green.

This morning I lightly sanded the entire hull and applied the second coat of Pettit EZPoxy Off-White. Tomorrow the third coat will be applied.

Today we fared the complete exterior of the Salt Bay Skiff and applied the first coat of Pettit Off-White EZPoxy.
Salt Bay Skiff – Keel Shoe and Skeg
Last night I fit the keel shoe and the skeg. This morning I prepped the hull by lightly sanding it with 80grit. Then applying the West Systems 410 faring filler. Tomorrow we’ll sand most of the filler off and apply the first coat of paint.
