It’s been awhile since my last post. I finished “Abi gale” and entered her in the Cathlamet Wooden Boat Show. She won best in her class! I picked up her sail last week and still need to rig it. Hopefully, I’ll get to it this coming weekend, so I can post a few photos of Abi gale under sail.
The big time taker has been taking advantage of the great fishing we have on our beautiful Columbia river. The photos posted include one of the boat show that shows Abi gail as Rachel’s tender. The next are of my wife Jody and I Steelhead fishing along with our dog Macksy. There’s also a 4 foot Sturgeon I caught in front of our place on Puget Island. The last photo is of the “Island Maid II.”
This past month I have also been in the process of selling the “Island Maid II”, if you care to take a look at the Maid “click here” or go to Past Projects and click on the Island Maid II where you can read about this 47′, 33 ton beauty! There are a couple of stories posted that have been written about her history and restoration. I have also posted the 2009 survey that show her valued at 150k. With the our focus on our 4 grand children and building a new vessel now and again we have not used the Maid in the last 2 years. I have posted her sale price at 69k for quick sale due to the economic environment. If any of you out there know of anyone that would be interested in a full-on passage maker with all new up-to-date systems please refer them. She truly needs an owner that can enjoy her as we have in our unbelievable NW waters!
