Thursday, Jody, Josey and I launched “Slough Coot” (Dudley Dix Cape Henry 21) at the Elochoman Marina boat ramp around 7pm. Welcome Slough is approximately 6 nautical miles up river where she will be moored for the summer. We had a nice 10 knot up river breeze that pushed us at 3 knot against the river current. We made our dock at Welcome Slough just before 9pm. It was a great ride!!
The following day we circumnavigated Coffee Pot Island. Catching the up river wind up one side and tacking down the other!! It was a great Memorial Day weekend!!
