Slough Coot is back in the yard. The previous owner fit the Cape Henry 21 with a bowsprit 32″ long when the plans show 4 feet. He also built the gaff at 9 feet, when the plans show 12′-4″. I have had a new mainsail made and it should be fit to the boat on Aug 16th. The two new headsails I bought are to the plans specs. With now a to spec bowsprit and new main she should sail the way she was designed to!! For the life of me I do not understand when someone builds a new boat or airplane and they DON’T build it to the designed specs, then wonder way it doesn’t fly right!!
