Pelicano 18 – Purple Heart Keel
I passed on the faring compound today and cut, fit and mounted the purple heart keel. I need to fiber glass the keel to the hull so to apply faring compound at this time would be putting the cart before the horse. Started at 9:30 am and ended at 2:30 pm.
Pelicano 18 – Fairing and Fiber Glass
Today I fared the entire hull and then fiber glassed it. Tomorrow I will put faring compound over the hull, sand it smooth and prepare it for paint. Started at 7:30 am and ended at 1:00 pm.
Pelicano 18 – Fiber Glass
June 30 from 8:30 pm to 9:45 pm: fared hull with 80 grit in preparation for fiber glass tape. July 1 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm: taped all seams with double layer of 6 ounce fiber glass. Tomorrow, I will fare all the high spots and fiber glass the hull.
