Today I put in 3 hours planing each frame so they will take a plank flush and fair. Then I did the math (something that the folks in D.C. don’t have a clue about) and made up one side of the garboard plank. I then tried that same plank on the other side of the hull to see if it fit. It did!! Then I simply use it as a template for the second garboard plank and cut it out. There will be more math along with spiling and tracing for the next 6 planks. That will happen tomorrow.
