It’s been a long while since my last post on the Dory. Since then, I started and finished building a campground/marina that will serve as a vacation rental. During the latter part of April, I had major back surgery. It’s not like I was on a real long vacation!
Back to the Dory. Over the last 4 days, with some help from Brian Heslin, the floor sole panels were painted with cetol, the forward deck drip cowling was cut and fit, the decks were glassed with 6 oz. cloth and faired with 410 fairing compound, and two coats of paint were applied to the decks and the complete interior. Tomorrow I’ll cut and fit the bench tops. They’ll be made of clear western, red cedar.
